MIRÓ Labs — a personal lab by Alonso Rivera

I'm Alonso Rivera. An entrepreneur who turns everyday problems into working prototypes.

I start by listening: how people work, where they get stuck, and what would make their day easier. Then I map the process and build something they can try.

That approach grew through building businesses in digital dentistry and working in the energy sector. Today I bring it to MIRÓ Labs, using AI to explore ideas and put them into practice.

The projects here come from work, curiosity, and things I want to use myself. Open one and take a look.

Patterns

Upload a record, book or graphic novel cover, or an artwork, and turn its colors into abstract patterns, posters and short videos.

The palette is measured from the image itself: each color keeps the share of the image it takes up, and every pixel of the pattern is one of those colors. Crop the image or pick colors by hand. 39 styles across eight families, from marbled paper and woven textiles to op-art, type collage and supergraphics, exported as a poster, a bare pattern or a motion video in square, portrait, story or landscape formats. Everything runs in your browser.

Type

Type a word and see it in 31 free fonts grouped by school, then turn it into a poster with the colors of a cover or an artwork.

From Swiss grotesques and Bauhaus geometrics to seventies soft serifs, op-art and signage lettering, every font is free to use under the SIL Open Font License and checked for Spanish accents. Nine composition programs follow rules from Bringhurst, Gerstner and Müller-Brockmann. The inspiration comes from the lettering of records and paintings: Claude describes each one and finds its closest fonts. Everything runs in your browser.

Components

The components and page sections you reach for when building a website, rebuilt without dependencies so you can try them live and copy them.

Buttons, fields, menus, dialogs and tables, plus ten page sections from hero to footer, with the design of coss ui and Tailark translated into plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Each one is built on the browser's own elements, so it works with the keyboard, screen readers and AI agents, in light and dark. Every page has a live preview, the code by file or in one piece, and a version for agents.

Infinite Canvas

An infinite canvas for building websites from real parts: drag in components, color themes, fonts and patterns, edit them in place, and ask an agent for four directions at once.

Every piece comes from the other tools here: components that work, Sanzo Wada themes, free fonts from Type and patterns from Patterns. Double-click any text to rewrite it, right-click to hide a part. The agent proposes four variants the way Midjourney does, then varies the one you pick, subtly or strongly, and each artboard carries a style code you can paste onto another. It also reads your references and writes down your taste. The canvas exports a recipe an agent can build from. The agent runs on your own machine through Claude Code.

All the Books in the World

An essay on how Anthropic and OpenAI got the millions of books behind their AI, and why a court said destroying them helped make it legal.

Built from the court records: the seven million pirated copies Anthropic downloaded and the used books it later cut apart and scanned, OpenAI's Books1 and Books2, and the Internet Archive library that lost the same argument. Every claim links to its source, in English and Spanish, with illustrations by the author.

Teqvita Studio

A generative 3D studio that turns prompts, photos, or voice into editable models.

Describe what you want, take a photo, or say it out loud, then refine the result and move it into the next stage of production.

Teqvita 3D Print Settings

A searchable index of the print settings HARZ Labs publishes for its resins, across 37 Phrozen and Elegoo printers.

1,703 printer and resin pairs, 63 resins, with exposure, bottom layers and lift and retract speeds at every layer height the manufacturer lists. Browse by printer or by resin to see one material across every machine. Every figure is copied from the manufacturer's own tables, never estimated: a setting that is not published stays empty. Retrieved from harzlabs.com on September 17, 2026.

MIRÓ 1

A hybrid granular processor developed as firmware, an audio plugin, and a physical instrument.

One fixed signal chain — FRACTURE, BLOOM, and TIDE — runs across Daisy hardware and AU, VST3, and standalone software. Current validation includes 81 DSP checks, 102 plugin checks, and successful Apple Audio Unit validation.

MIRO Marketplace

A catalog of components for building physical AI and robotics, organized by function and filtered by the specifications that actually decide a choice.

215 components across 131 families, each carrying the supplier's public reference price, the date it was observed, and a link back to the manufacturer. Nothing is sold here yet: the call to action is a quote list, and a part with no public price says so instead of guessing one.

Shelvd Studio

A personal library app for book cataloging at home, built around cover scanning and a searchable 3D bookshelf.

It turns a home library into something visible, structured, and easy to revisit, so books can live as a collection instead of disappearing into shelves, notes, or memory.

Sanzo Wada

The 348 color combinations of Sanzo Wada's 1933 dictionary, rebuilt from a scan of the book into a page you can search, filter and copy from.

Every plate is set the way the book sets it, cross layout and all, with the names printed underneath. Each swatch is identified by that printed name and never by its scanned color: a scanner dulls the inks, and matching by appearance confuses a Jasper Red with an English Red. Of the 1,032 swatches, 834 came from the printed captions and 198 were transcribed by hand, then 84 plates were checked against the original page one by one. Hex values come from the CMYK formulas the book prints in its own index. The combinations and the 159 colors download as CSV, JSON, ASE and GPL.

Seiko Mojito

The Seiko Presage «Mojito» rebuilt in 3D from Seiko's product photos, with an exploded view that opens the case and the automatic calibre down to the last wheel.

Every part can be isolated and studied up close: the green kiriko dial, the box crystal, the padded strap and its folding clasp, and the 4R35 movement with its rotor, gear train, escapement and balance. The dial is the photograph itself with the hands removed, and the head's silhouette matches Seiko's side view to 89%. The gear train runs at the real calibre's speeds, and an essay explains it chapter by chapter, with an escapement computed from contact rather than animated by hand. Tooth counts and wheel layout are a readable approximation; Seiko does not publish them.

Archivo

A human-in-the-loop system for capturing references, processing them with an agent, and publishing structured knowledge.

A mobile web form sends notes and references to a Vercel Blob queue. A local agent reads pending items, organizes the source material, and regenerates navigable pages, with human review as the approval step.

HSK Voice Coach

A daily Mandarin voice tutor built on ElevenLabs Agents, structured around HSK vocabulary and evidence-based progress.

A client-side validation layer rejects out-of-level vocabulary, unsupported progress, and corrections that cannot be traced back to the transcript.

Shelvd Vinyls

A vinyl cataloging experience for giving records the visual presentation they deserve.

Capture a sleeve, catalog the album, and browse the collection in Shelf, Grid, and CoverFlow.

Feynviz

An interactive edition of Six Easy Pieces where each chapter becomes an explorable simulation.

Feynman's concepts become visual systems, so abstract ideas can be tested through movement, state, and interaction.

MODULAR

A price research engine for second-hand and new computer hardware, which finds the best price on the market and delivers the part to your door.

Every price on the site carries where it was found, when it was observed, and what the part actually sells for, as opposed to what sellers ask. Observations expire on purpose: when a quote is no longer fresh the site withholds the figure and re-checks it, rather than resetting a countdown.

Bookmaps

A visual map of Peru's 2026 presidential candidates, sized by Polymarket win probability.

Thirty-five candidacies from the April 12, 2026 elections, each block sized by its probability of victory according to Polymarket at the cutoff date.

Nine Into One

Nine posters by Jacqueline Casey, animated in the browser so they arrive one by one, stack, and collapse into a single image.

The motion is a study of someone else's work: an existing WebGL opening was taken apart and kept whole — its shaders, its camera path, its timing — with the five photographs it shipped replaced by posters Casey designed at MIT between 1955 and 1989. Forty-five posters were pulled from the archive and laid out on contact sheets before nine were chosen, weighted toward how each one holds up in grayscale: the sequence drains the color out and only gives it back to the cover as it fills the screen. Built with Three.js and GSAP, with no build step. Poster images from the MIT Museum collection.
